Who We AreJWP Solicitors are a Yorkshire based firm of solicitors
with a team of experienced lawyers having many years
experience. We are approved specialists in various fields
and can represent you in all courts from the magistrates'
court to the House of Lords.
We have 13 legal professionals - 12 solicitors and 1
trainee solicitor. All are law society members. Our
team include members of the law society's children and
family panel, resoloution and the criminal litigation
accreditation scheme. Three of our solicitors are higher
courts advocates - specialists in arguing your case
in the higher court.
We do not employ untrained paralegal staff - everyone
working on your case is either a solicitor or legally
trained to post graduate level.
We aim to help those who find themselves in the criminal
justice system, perhaps for the first time, facing road
traffic offences and uncertain of the best way forward.
You may be on bail following arrest and interview at
the police station or charged at the police station
and bailed to attend court, perhaps a notice of intended
prosecution or summons has been received in the post.

|
What We Do
Are you facing a drink driving charge and a mandatory
minimum 12 months ban or more?
Have you accumulated 12 or more points and been summonsed
to court as a 'totter'?
The law is complex and technical. Often prosecutions
are flawed and the rules of evidence and or procedure
have been broken. Defendants often have defences to
offences and do not even know it.
Were the police entitled to do what they did when they
did it?
Are the prosecution able to prove each and every element
of the offence?
Is the evidence that the prosecution want to rely on
admissible in court?
Does the legislation provide me with a specific defence?
