Criminal Legal Aid - Latest
Like many a decent Spy novel the fight over changes to Criminal Legal Aid seems to take a new twist and turn by the day, and with recent revelations from a Whistle-blower at the Legal Aid Agency the Criminal Duty tender process, despite being almost over, comes under the microscope again.
Firms around the country are currently issuing proceedings against what they see as some significant errors in the way the Tender process was marked. The Legal Aid Agency however seem in defiant mood, and have suggested that any legal challenge will be defended, and they will even ask firms who were successful in the tender process to come on board with them.
