Lots of Cake equals Lots for Charity

JWP Solicitors are delighted to have again been invited to Anchor’s health and wellbeing event at Townhead Court retirement housing scheme in Settle. Two of JWP's Solicitors attended the event alongside other professional organisations such as Age UK, the local police and fire services. The event promoted the wellbeing of Anchor customers and aimed to provide practical support. Our Solicitors attended and offered legal advice in an informal friendly manner.

Anchor housing is England's largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people. Anchor recognises that everyone is an individual. They work hard to get to know their customers, build relationships and ensure the service that they provide are ones that people want.

JWP Solicitors are pleased to continue to support and work alongside such an honest reliable and worthy provider of housing and care for older people.

In other news !!!

JWP Solicitors are very excited to be holding a Macmillan coffee morning on 30th September between 11am – 3pm at our Wakefield Office.

The Coffee Morning is a way of raising money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan is a fantastic charity that aims to improve the lives of people living with cancer, as well as helping with the medical needs of people affected by cancer. Macmillan also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK. The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, they did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £138 million for Macmillan.

Last year at JWP we managed to raise over £1000 for Macmillan!!

So 30th September, don't forget to join us for a cuppa and a cake.
